Requirement

As a result of the reduction of activity in the exploitation of offshore petrol extraction between 2016 and 2018, a large fleet of H225 helicopters has become redundant over a long period of time. The owner of one of these fleets (21 Super Pumas H225), Parilease, has been on the lookout for a company capable of maintaining these machines to the highest possible level until new contracts are created.

On completion of the maintenance period, following confirmation of the contract between the owner of the fleet and the new client, the client requested a rapid commissioning phase for machines selected for operation.

Proposition

Airtelis, located at Avignon airport for the maintenance of its own H225 helicopters, researched into and then rented out the required number of hangars for the maintenance of the fleet  (2500m2 of hangars in total). Airtelis adapted its hangars in order to meet the client’s needs (interior temperature control, monitoring and correction of humidity levels) and came up with new, innovating solutions for maintenance (such as the incorporation of climate controlled protective sealed covers).

At the end of the maintenance phase, Airtelis had at its disposition, new hangars available for maintenance for RTE- STH services and was therefore in a position to propose the rapid commissioning of 2 Super Pumas (operation start date mid-July 2018 to commissioning phase mid-December 2018).

Airtelis also managed via RTE-STH Section M the delivery of two other Super Pumas commissioned for CAMO with airworthiness review and the issuing of an airworthiness certificate for export.
