With 3 years of firefighting experience, AIRTELIS has developed proven experience in this field.

Airtelis, the RTE group, and its partners have participated in six firefighting campaigns since 2020, under contract with the French Ministry of the Interior.

Our entity was the first to deploy Super Puma-type heavy-lift helicopters in France for firefighting, alongside government resources.

With more than 1,000 cumulative flight hours in operation and nearly 5,000 drops (over 20,000 tons of water), we benefit from extensive experience in this field.

The current system mobilizes up to 10 aircraft for four months. Their geographical distribution allows us to cover the entire southern part of the country, with remote bases in Avignon, Le Luc, Carcassonne, and Jonzac.

Airtelis and its partners are thus able to provide the DGSCGC with 6 Super Pumas and 4 Squirrels, thanks to around a hundred pilots, mechanics, logisticians and airworthiness managers working on this project.

The Nuclear Rapid Action Force is a unique emergency response mechanism operated by the EDF Group at its production sites. Airtelis complements these resources with its heavy-duty helicopters, capable of performing precision lifting. Our entity also trains all of the Group’s team members. Thanks to this rigorous organization, Airtelis helps ensure the continuity of critical operations while strengthening safety and responsiveness on the ground.
