OUR operational equipment

Helicopters: the best answer to high operational performance

The use of helicopters for interventions means increased speed and higher level of security on work sites. It also reduces the negative impact on the environment.

Speed: the helicopter can access the work site rapidly. Schedules and delivery times are dramatically improved.

Safety: the helicopter can facilitate the intervention, using twin-engine helicopters for highly complex tasks in a safe environment and under safe conditions for workers, even in less accessible areas.

Environmentally friendly: using a helicopter reduces the need for cranes, and the construction of access roads, particularly in protected areas of environmental interest, mountainous regions and inaccessible zones.

Social acceptance of project intervention is more easily achieved in addition to increased company image.
As a subsidiary of RTE, AIRTELIS benefits from the experience that our parent Company has developed and handed down, such as Live Working (LW - the electricity is not cut while working on the power cable), cradle maintenance work for 2 or 4 operators.

AIRTELIS is the only one in Europe to propose large helicopters (Super Puma EC 225) certified Class C.

rely on our Super Puma EC 225 (= H 225)

- Leading-hedge equipment

With the EC225, AIRTELIS has a heavy duty platform at its disposal. This helicopter is equipped with cameras, bubble doors and an innovating coupling system, certified « Class C », designed in close collaboration with Airbus Helicopters. With this equipment the pilot can monitor and control the angle of the sling and check what’s going on under it.

The twin-engine EC225 is the biggest civilian helicopter in France, weighing 11 tons. It can carry suspended loads of up to 4.5 tons (> read more).

- Invaluable class C certification

Our high performance EC 225 are equipped in order to be certified by European Authority EASA to work in Class C conditions (the external load is detachable and remains in contact with land, water or any surface).

Class C certification offers the best way to keep operations under control with the highest level of safety available.

It consists of a system of load transportation in contact with the ground or water surface,

AIRTELIS' EC225 can roll out for instance up to 5 km of cable 1 kg per linear meter thick, in one go.

- EC 225 bare  rental

We own the only 2 civil EC 225 helicopters available in Western Europe.

AIRTELIS can provide you with one of these Super Puma, with or without maintenance and fuel, in connection with your training flights or your operating tasks.

mid range and light helicopters

- 2 EC 135 (= H135): twin-engine helicopters mainly employed for power line checks  and cradle interventions.

- 7 Ecureuil AS 350 B3 (= H125): single engine helicopters with high lifting capacities, based in Albertville, Salon and Auch (essentially used for  inspection in the South Alps)

- 1 AS 355 N: twin-engine helicopter for human external cargo (HEC).
