AIRTELIS: A RENOWNED EXPERTISE

AIRTELIS'PERFORMANCE Linked to RTE's experience and knowledge

Created in 2011, AIRTELIS is a wholly owned subsidiary of RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Electricité), the French Transmission System Operator (TSO).

Providing professionals with highly advanced aerial operations is its main objective.

AiRtelis combines expertise in helicopter maintenance work, on electricity cables as well as big infrastructures.

AIRTELIS has gained experience from RTE’s Helicopter works and services (‘STH’: from the French ‘Services et Travaux Héliportés’), specializing in surveillance, maintenance and the construction of electrical power lines.

The development of helicopter works at RTE started in the 50’s.

Over the past 60 years, RTE has clocked up more than 260 000 hours flight time, which is the equivalent of more than thirty years continuous flying for one helicopter. The specialized RTE teams are able to intervene on overhead lines of up to 400 kV, which means that the need to cut the power off is considerably reduced, reliability is improved, money is saved and environmental factors are respected.

The need for the creation of a subsidiary dedicated to aerial works, relying on the 2 new Airbus EC 225 helicopter technology came to light in 2011.

A LEVEL OF EXPERTISE WITHOUT COMPARISON

AIRTELIS is the only one in Western Europe to propose large helicopters Super Puma EC 225 which have been equipped in order to be certified by the European Authority EASA to work in Class C conditions.

Our partner operator RTE is certified  ISO 14001 (environment label) and its STH department (Services et Travaux Heliportés) is certified Part M (navigability follow up)

AiRtelis provides its customers with a unique range of varied services: high professional level training, helicopter maintenance works, power line construction, performant load lifting, emergency interventions…

AIRTELIS is involved in an environmentally-friendly approach when using helicopters for interventions which reduces the negative impact on the environment (no need for cranes or access roads, quick interventions…).
